Through Chestertons’ affiliation with the Royal Academy of Arts, I discovered they were running a competition to redesign their profile logo for Twitter and Instagram. The brief was to design it in the style of their latest exhibition, ‘Revolution: Russian Art 1917-1932’.
Having recently visited the exhibition I decided to enter. I drew the letters ‘R’ and ‘A’ from scratch in Illustrator, imitating the typographic style of hand-lettered revolutionary posters.
